In my attempt to be productive I took on a small logo design project. It was for Around The House Home Inspections.

I was approached with an idea if a circular logo. The idea was a house with the name of the company going aroooound the house forming a circle. I immediately mocked up their idea in my head and thought….Uhhhh NO! So I said “sure I can do that”

Well they didn’t get that

Instead they got this…and every one lived happily ever after.

This was designed in Fireworks. I simply made a circle, drew the house inside the circle, and place the outline of a circle on top to hide the edges. The then carefully placed the font “around the house”. I used guides to keep the spacing as uniform as possible. If you looked up procrastination in the dictionary you would see a place holder for a picture of me with a caption that says “STILL waiting for his picture”

I have no doubt that I can do or learn anything.

What’s the hold up?

Me.

I’ll have this great motivation to do something…get started and then my mind wanders and I come up with another idea and leave the first project undone. (i.e. As the Avatar Turns and Hood Poetry Spotlight)

I’ve been going back to school since 1995 or 96. Why haven’t I been back yet….lack of motivation.

I’ve started learning Javascript at least 8 times and PHP once or twice. Let’s see which opensource CMS tools have I started learning…Mambo, Joomla, Drupal, phpWebsite and I’m sure there are others. Don’t let me get started naming the e-commerce solutions.

I’ve been starting running again since 1994.

I’ve probably got 4 years of kids clothes that I have been taking to Goodwill or the Nicholas House.

I’ve been meaning to wash clothes and clean the town house since I moved in some years ago.

My mind is constantly all over the place. It jumps from subject to subject and this constant activity often keeps me up nights and if I do get to sleep I am waking up every 2 to 3 hours.

I’m not sure what to do….I’ve been figuring that out for year too. but as usual I end up doing something else.

Hell I started writing this blog in 1990 during my junior year of high school.

How do you avoid procrastinating. I think I need a life coach or a motivated and fine non-slacker girl friend. Some one who will keep me on track and hold me to task.

Because I don’t have a problem with procrastination at work….just in my personal life. I swear I get home after work and the town house just sucks me in like a black hole and drains and meaningful brain activity.

I’m going to try and blog more often to keep track of things but….I’ve been meaning to do that for a few years too. although I know part of that problem is that I’m not a big talker and anyone who knows me is aware of that fact. I also have issues with expressing my feelings with words. May it be speaking them or writing…I have trouble putting them in to words and it is very frustrating. I also butcher the English language to hell. I have never been great in the grammar department. I got C’s in English every year until we stopped doing grammar and moved to literature.

and just like this blog…most of my blogs will probably just ramble on and then just stop abruptly…because that is how my brain works.
